Such a masterpiece that they released the game with a glitch/save error which wiped your save.

They fixed it in the next print and previous buyers could swap their carts, but the new version took out blood.

In the uk, no swap was offered. So I bought the game again, swapped the cartridges myself, then returned it the same day. Fuck the police!

I remember putting about 10 hours into the character creator alone.. The move selection was HUGE, there were even a bunch of choices for 'Tree of Woe'-attacks which blew my mind.. Then I played Smackdown 2006... Blew my mind how lousy it was compared to an N64 game from late 2000

HCtP was brilliant. It had a ton of stuff they took out later as far as copywritten characters. There were costume pieces for Spider-man and Darth Vader -- hell, Spidey even had his own entrance. He'd swing in on his little web and everything.

And Darth Vader was almost perfect when you gave him Kevin Nash's moves. Finishers, entrance, everything lined up well between those two.

While this is my favorite Old Generation wrestling game, WWE SVR 09 is pretty much the most polished wrestling game in years. With WWE 12 coming in a close second, i'd give it a try if any of you are fiending for a wrestling game fix.
