As a smart ass, I approve this message.

Fantastic. This assuages the guilt I've carried ever since I commanded my maid and the pool-boy to get hitched.

Just because something is mentioned in the bible doesn't mean it is "bible-approved". Most of the verses in this are wildly misinterpreted and skewed and you aren't taking into account the culture of the time when it was written. I know this "just for teh lulz" but I can't stand for this. As a Christian, I don't hate gay people. I believe their lifestyle is wrong and sinful, but i also believe EVERYBODY else's life is sinful too, so why should we treat them any different? We are taught to love everybody as God loves us.

I think the point is lots of Christians are going way out of their way to ensure gay people are treated differently, and using the Bible as their evidence. But they're wildly misinterpreting those passages and not taking into account the culture at the time when it was written. Plus they have this hyper focus on the few passages about homosexuality, while brushing off all the stuff about rape, stonings, slaves, etc.

My problem isn't with these crazy sections of the Bible, it's with the strangely biased (and often bigoted and hateful) focus by which current Christian doctrine seems to put on preventing equal civil rights of two people who love each other while often ignoring the much bigger messages from the Bible. If anti-gay activists put their same fervent effort into loving thy neighbor and helping those less fortunate, based on the proportional weight THOSE messages are given in the Bible, rather than focusing on the hateful minutia, I think we would live in a much better world.

It is unfortunate that I have to agree with you here. Lots of Christians to go out of their way to spread a hateful message towards the homosexual lifestyle. They are right in saying that homosexuality is wrong because according to the Bible (and not just the old testament, read 1 Corinthians 6:8-10), it is! However, nowhere in the Bible does it tell us to go around condemning sinners. On the contrary, it tells us to go spread God's love. Once someone is committed to serving God, then it is time to face the sins in their life and try to rid themselves of anything that displeases Him.

Honestly, I have more of a problem with the bigoted and hateful "Christians" who condemn homosexuals than the homosexuals they are condemning. I have quite a few friends who claim to be homosexual and I try not to treat them any differently. But the fact is that marriage, as defined by the Bible, is between one man and one woman. any sexual act outside of the sanctity of Biblical marriage is considered sexual immorality. It doesn't matter if two people "love each other". If two men (or women) want to enter some kind of union, I say let them, but not under the label of Christian marriage.

All pulled from old testament I presume? By that standard they can't wear mixed fabrics or cut hair. They should also take women who have had premarital sex and stone them. I think it's safe to say that this argument won't stand. None of them follow the old testament.

Yes, the argument is logical, I completely agree with you. I'm just pointing out that if they do not have a problem ignoring the vast majority of the old testament, they will not have any quarrels about ignoring a few more verses. Hence, the argument is somewhat pointless.
