This picture reminded me of the incidents during halloween where people were offended by "Mexican" costumes, and some other ones, like "Indian" and such. Well, I work at wal-mart, and we had one such complaint. Management pulled off the costumes. After halloween some costumes were on clearance. I spotted one of the Mexican ones. Looked at it, then I noticed something. The label. "Made in Mexico." That's all I got.

Any Mexican would know that in Spanish, it is "JAJA!" not "HAHA!" because the "H" is silent.

I was just getting drunk with my friends after a ska band rehearsal and a nice fermented pasta marinera with guero chiles on some lovely "la tarea" tequila, when I mentioned that I thought now was a historical moment for Mexicans where for the first time in history a reasonable percentage of youths have access not just to each other, but to the ideas of the world. While down here, we're used to a completely broken system that serves the 1% and no one else, suddenly we have the capacity to study, critique, and organize. In that order. Who knows what's possible now? I'll just leave this here.
