Oooook wtf. How can no one else see this? The hose has a nozzle on the end that is preventing flow of the liquid. She is trying to knock that off so the hose can flow properly and not damage whatever is pumping the liquid through it. At the end she hits it and it starts to flow alot more. I mean its still silly, but makes sense atleast.

Lesson of the story: Don't assume people in lesser developed countries are fucking stupid. We have plenty of 'em here too.

I think he knows he is being filmed and he is "communicating" something with this action.

In some cultures, hitting something with slippers (or throwing shoe etc.) has the effect of "damn that thing". It is akin to saying out loud "damn you stupid hose, come here, oh come on!". If someone did that, it wouldn't look very weird, even if we know that the hose can't hear humans. "Hey don't be stupid that is a hose... It can't hear you..."

But those watching us can, and even that is not a requirement. I guess this is something similar to that.

PS: When Saddam was taken down by the US military, I remember watching the local crowd gathering around the big Saddam statue and hitting it with their shoes. But I can't find the video of it.
