Entertainment is just a fucking necessity of life, what do you mean I need support for that? Anything that manages to teach something, and makes it entertaining for the child at the same time, should be obviously beneficial.

Again, I'm not saying a child should get all their education from TV, but to sit them down in front of something like sesame street once in a while will sure help. I know there's at least one or two things I had an easier time learning because of that show when I was young, just because they put it into songs that I enjoyed. It stuck with me because of the way it was formatted. I don't need a study to tell me about it's benefits because I experienced it, but I'm positive if you did a google search you'd find that kids who watch shows like Mr. Rogers and similar shows have shown benefits.

But I guess some television from time to time is absolutely unacceptable. It always has to be extremes. You're either sitting your kids down in front of the TV and forgetting about them or no TV ever it will rot your brain out.
