It's a chemical spray that will deliver a quick shot of superficial cold to an injured tissue for temporary pain relief.Because it doesn't penetrate to the deep tissues, it doesn't provide any real therapy. It's used in sports when the injury produces pain, but isn't enough to keep the player out. You have to be careful with it though, as it can result in a chemical burn.
