I'm at school at Southern Miss. I CAN COMPLETELY RELATE.

I'm at Southern Miss at the gulf coast. I relate.

Luckly, being a science major, most of my instructors/professors are at the very least, not fundies (mostly not religious), but at least 98% of the other students I'm in class with are.

It's about the same here. I'm a history guy myself, and a lot of my professors poke fun at the idea of religion but tiptoe just enough to keep the class under control.

It's always good to know that someone else somewhere in this state knows how it feels.

Southern Miss to the top! (Obligatory, haha)

TTT!

My current world civ instructor tiptoes around it pretty hard core. It's mostly laughable. I went up after class last week and told him I disagreed with him on one point. If people came back in 4000 years (or aliens) and found a bible in a tomb, they would NOT think we kind, decent, caring people. If they actually read the bible, they'd think we were evil. He fell out laughing and agreed that the bible had some pretty rough stuff, but he wasn't trying to make the class revolt.

You have no idea the persecution christians have to face in their day to day lives. they have to go online and READ about subjects they disagree with, and have it shoved in their faces time and again from people who disagree with them.

They are being fed to the lions, literally!

Why can't you just be normal like everyone else?(!)

I was downvoted when I posted on the Christian version of this: "Here's how I see the situation: Oh no, someone disagrees with my particular ideology, clearly this means that they hate me and are attacking me!

Grow the fuck up."
