Reminds me of the time I let a cat in my house. I went to close my front door, but I saw a curious cat creeping up to it, so just for fun I hid behind the door to see what it would do. It didn't see me, and went into my living room. I slowly closed the door. When it turned around and saw the door closed, it completely spazzed out like in this video. It was bouncing from room to room at light speed, jumping on the table knocking shit off. I was like: big mistake, big mistake!!! and started opening all the doors so it would hopefully run back out and stop destroying my house.

My mother and father caught a stray cat in a live trap they had outside for skunks. Mom thought it was so cute and, against my warnings, brought the trap with the cat in it into the kitchen so she could let it have a saucer of milk. She opened the trap door and the cat was off like greased lightning. It ran across the length of the house into the living room and up the curtains where it then hit the ceiling where it fell to the ground and then ran back into the kitchen. The kitchen was a dead end so it repeated this process about 3 times before it found the stairs. It ended up in the upstairs bathroom which was being remodeled and, wouldn't you know it, the cat found the wall that was opened to reveal the bathtub plumbing which ran under the floor. And the cat wasn't going to come out. We opened the bathroom window and closed the door hoping it would go out on the porch roof but all it would do was crawl out and sit on the window sill howling until you opened the door when it would then retreat to it safe spot under the floor again. I started leaving the door slightly ajar and when it was in mid howl I rushed it, pushed it onto the roof and closed the window (this took a few tries with a good half hour to 45 minutes in between attempts before it worked). That cute kitty actually ran off the roof traveling at full speed (a weird sight indeed) but it must have hit the ground on all fours because there was no sign of it in the yard when we got out there.

Wow. My girlfriend's cat was a stray. Apparently the cat just walked up to her sliding glass door leading to her backyard, she opened the door, the cat walked in, and she had the cat for ~5 years now.

my aunts neighbor was similar. She noticed some cats hanging out near the basement door, and since that part of the basement was it's own seperate room (concrete similar to a garage) she would leave the door open with a little catfood left in their. First they would only come in when it was raining, then later they (two) would hang around the back porch when she was on it. Then eventually they just didn't want to leave the basement room except to poop. After a year these two cats became permanent residents with full access to the house.

I was home alone one day when I was ten or so when a stray cat came up to our house. She seemed really tame so, being ten, I picked her up and brought her in the house. She went into this same infamous cat-frenzy as soon as I put her down. When I tried to catch her, she bit the shit out of my hand. When my mom finally got home she called the vet to find out what to do if it had rabies and they said instead of getting rabies shots we should keep the cat inside and watch it for signs of rabies (what the fuck?).

So, that is the story of how we got to keep a stray cat we didn't even want. ಠ_ಠ

One day a few years back, I opened the door to leave the house and a cat shot in. This particular house had three floors and the cat was legging it up and down the stairs like a greased chimp on a waterslide. By the time we could get up the stairs it had found a hiding place and as soon as we got close to where it was hiding, the little bastard sprung out and made for another floor. We never knew where it actually was until it made a bid for freedom, then we had to find it again. I'll be honest, for the first half hour I didn't close any doors because I thought it was the funniest shit.

I was perhaps naively surprised to see other balloon videos as well. However the one guy I linked was damn lucky to live. Once your arms are stuck to your sides with your head in a giant balloon its easy to get pretty screwed.

Ever fill a balloon up with water and shove your hand in, forcing all the water out? It gets very very difficult to separate your fingers. Imagine that on your head.

I made the mistake of tying a balloon to my cats collar once. He was walking away and noticed this thing following him. So he started walking faster which made the balloon get a little lower to the ground(with even more evil intent). He finally took off and took out everything in his path. We couldn't bring balloons in the house after that or he would go into hiding.

She had a lifelong fear of plastic bags.

My cat did this as well. Though he only did the part where he stuck his head through the holders of those paper burger king bags, I mostly did the rest by ruffling up the bag. We had to chase him all over the house and pin him down to calm and "rescue" him from the bag. Now he absolutely hates paper bags.

This happened to the hub's 10 yr old cat when he was about 2. He got stuck in a bag and flipped out so bad that he jumped through the screen of his open window and took off outside. By the time the hubs found him, he was so tangled up on a barbed wire fence that he was choking himself and nearly dead.

He survived(obviously)but he suffered some brain damage and emotional scarring. It made him cross-eyed and retarded, and he's terrified of his own shadow with a deathly fear of plastic bags now, but we love him.

I had a kitten do the same thing within the first week I got her. She was only like 6 months old. We were hanging out on the 2nd floor ouf my girlfriends rental house, and the kitten ran into a bag. It got stuck around her head, and she basically wore it like a cape. No shit, she then jumped all the way down the entire flight of stairs wearing the bag as a cape. I was stuck between laughing and being worried she died, but she was okay. Still one of my favorite memories.

My cat does a variation of this. He runs back and forth across my apartment, then runs to my lap and lays down until I fix whatever made him freak out. The first time he did this, it was because of these giant stick pads I accidentally left out. I was so proud of him for sitting still and letting me slowly pull/cut them away, along with quit a bit of hair.

My cat did something like this. Except said bag was filled with cookies in slightly opened packaging. Cookies went flying. Cat has forgotten about this and continues to play with plastic bags(under close supervison of course).

We had that exact thing happen to one of our cats years ago. It was kind of funny, but the cat wound up behind the clothes washer terrified and howling. I waited about 20 minutes until it calmed down enough for me to reach near it and grab the bag and hold it while he struggled out.

Oh wow, this. This happened to our cat one night. Poor guy ran around the place slamming into everything until he wedged himself under a cabinet. Only then could we catch him to free the bag from his face. He peed himself that night, and has been terrified of plastic bags ever since.

My cat loves to take a running start from about 15 feet away and dive into the bags, sending herself sliding across the kitchen floor. And then she gets up and does it again. Kind of like her own personal slip'n'slide. If she gets stuck on a handle she just glares at me until I get it off of her and then she resumes her fun.

Wow, I saw this yesterday and then last night as I was peacefully asleep my cat came zooming across the room. She went three times around the apartment before I could stop her and get the bag off her neck. At least I can say I avoided the shit/piss scenarios that other people seem to have run into.

Amazing coincidence I saw it here right before it happened.
