A friend (retiring Army guy) recommended relocating to Switzerland. With US politics/economy, being an 30yo unemployed I.T. worker (budget cuts) with a wife and one kid, German decent (can't speak a lick but would love to learn), awesome clocks, neutral, rating very high in counties to live, awesome clocks I'd love to learn to build, dreams of exotic European things, THIS PICTURE (higher res available, for research?), and the possibility that I could learn a thing or two about awesome clocks.....(runon much?) I've been in a similar place--Chena Hot Springs in Fairbanks, Alaska.

It was -50F out but we sat in a natural hot spring. My hair froze.

Its a cool place. They use the geothermal energy to also grow their own produce. Local salmon is caught. Food was awesome.

Here's something those of you who live in warmer climates don't know. That shit hurts. Getting into a hot tub after running around in the snow is one of the most painful things you can do to yourself. I grew up in one of the coldest places in America. While I was a teenager we had a hot tub. Dares were made. It's like going to an acupuncturist on their first day.
