Because that's what is needed, looking at situations as black and white and dismissing someone's opinion before you even hear their justification. It doesn't matter if someone's "right" or "wrong", if you treat their opinion with such contempt, then you, sir, are what's wrong with things, on a far more fundamental level than anything else.
