Hey people, Comic Sans is actually a nice font. It can be used for many things, and people do use it.

Lame graphic designers just love to hate it, because it seems like an easy target. Cynical Designers use it from time to time and then complain about it for months, claiming "the client demanded it" or crap like that. Great designers and most amateurs know when to apply it.

Watchmen was written, not typed.

Comic Sans is a digital rehash of more traditional styles of comic writing, attempting to amalgamate a lot of different writers' stylistic quirks into one. It's basically a chimera mimicking pen writing, with none of the flair. Hence the distaste.
