That procedure appears to have failed its mission: to remove the eyebrow. The scar looks like a fucked up eyebrow now. It would have been better to shave the eyebrows off.

I wish I had the auto-immune systems of these men who can realize when they have had enough of Internet once they see something shocking. Me? I cannot provoke a reaction. My Internet-addled mind just goes on, scrolling down to the comments here, visiting another topic there, getting trolled into a link to 1 guy 1 bottle... and nope. No psychological failsafe triggers. Then I look out of the windows and it is 2 pm; I realize that I'm losing track of the sentences as I read the same line over and over again, and so I close my laptop's lid and retire for the night, touching my genitals just so that I pretend to myself to be doing something productive in the few seconds between laying still and being asleep.

One time I was on an S&R team looking for a small plane that had gone down in the woods. We had been looking for a while but hadn't found any debris or anything. I went off to pee during a short break, and when I looked to my left there was, at eye level, an eyebrow hanging from a branch. Scared the shit out of me. Almost literally.

Shortly thereafter, we found the rest of the pilot's remains. Apparently he survived the crash, walked about a quarter mile from the wreck, and along the way I guess he ran into the branch and it tore the rest of his eyebrow off. When we found him his eyes were open and some of his guts were peeking out of a puncture wound.

This person suffered an avulsion injury to his eyebrow. I'm not quite certain what the mechanism of this injury might be. Perhaps a collision with a moving object.

The avulsed piece is not much different than a full thickness skin graft. He likely bleed at the time of injury, but the blood vessels have subsequently constricted and his face has been cleaned.

I would manage this injury by irrigating the wound and eyebrow with sterile saline, and then reattaching it with sutures as a tissue graft. The graft take may not be perfect, but if at least some of the skin survives the final reconstruction may be easier and final appearance better.

Yeah I could tell instantly it was done on purpose. Check the cut marks around the eyebrow, done with precision. Also look at the eyebrow itself, it's not injured or damaged in any way.

With that kind of medical prognosis you might as well say he de-gloved his face.

I've spent quite a bit of time pondering why this made me feel so squeamish. I'm not really bothered by blood or anything, but the fact that he put the eyebrow full intact above his lips makes me imagine how it was put on there just sticking there and how it could so gently fall into his mouth, which makes me imagine this guys eyebrow in my mouth. That's what makes me squeamish.
