I actually did like the first one. Everyone who has their dick hard for the original trilogy mostly grew up with it and don't really see/want to accept all the flaws of the originals. I mean c'mon, Ewoks? I think Darth Maul is one of the most badass people in the star wars universe and who doesn't like Qui-Gon FUCKIN Jinn. I mean Liam Neeson with a lightsaber...I rest my case.

They were just a last minute change forced upon George Lucas (who wanted to go to Kashyyyk and show a badass bloody war with wookies which would have been a thousand times better) so that the toy companies would have characters to make lots of money off children.

As someone who was still young when I first saw Episode I, I liked it at first. I eventually grew to like it less as I grew up but Darth Maul, pod racing, and Qui Gon Jinn are still some of the coolest things in the Star Wars Universe. In short, there are some gems within the poop.

I feel the exact same way. I wish they could just remake the prequels knowing what they know now. Because even during the screening George knew he made some MAJOR mistakes haha. Cuz Qui Gon and Darth Maul deserved better.

i'm going to say i liked episode 1 the best out of any of the prequels. it looked the most real as far as sets...the droids didnt have personalities...qui gon jinn and darth maul...

i will argue any day that episode 1 is superior to 2 and 3.

i will say that while i like 4, 5, and 6 best, i also enjoy 1 from time to time. The plot doesn't have a whole lot to offer but there are some things i enjoy. i will list them.

  • Qui Gon Jinn (fucking Liam Neeson!)

  • Pod Race

  • Darth Maul
