As someone who has eaten jellyfish i suggest you do. If you cook them they get kind of mushy but taste exactly like whatever you cook them in, and if you eat them raw they are a little squishy but crunch when you chew.

Actually, all urine does is stop MORE stingers from firing. If the venom is already in your system, the urine does nothing to it. When your skin brushes up against the tentacle, the millions of little stingers fire into your skin and inject the venom. Any peeing onto the area would only neutralize the stingers that haven't fired yet. So it would help, but not much.

Jellyfish venom is alkali-based and the acetic acid in the vinegar will neutralise the venom. Urine can actually aggravate the jellyfish's stingers into releasing more venom. This cure is, indeed, fiction.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemopilema_nomurai Also its not the largest, the largest is the Lion's Mane Jelly fish which can get up to 120 ft long (At the string tentacles, mind you, but the rest of the body reflects the huge size). Nomura get to around 6.6 ft.
