The only thing that's ever scared me about dying is dying painfully

I know it's cowardly but I'm totally allergic to pain - it brings me out in the sweats, a yellowy-purple rash and sometimes I actually leak a sticky red fluid from the painful area. When I was younger, it made my eyes leak a clear liquid too!

Not so sure about this. Being dead may be of no concern, but dying if all to often a terrible business thanks to the religious hierarchies (the rank and file faithful can be very supportive of euthanasia, IME).

I have no fear of death, by dying is another matter. Dying scares me. There are so many unpleasant ways to die, and most contain a large amount of pain and embarrassment. If it is OK with everyone else, I would just as soon take a pass on the whole death and dying thing.
