Truth. I still have a scar from when one latched onto my finger. I worked at a pet store and I was showing a mom and daughter one of the hamsters to show them how nice they are. Needless to say, they didn't buy it.

I use to have a black bear hamster named Fighter Pilot Scooby, He was the meanest little fucker I ever met until..... I left him at my dads for a weekend. My dad figured out that the Scoobs liked Coronas, and drank the little bastard until he had killed off enough brain cells to be sweet and lovable, but not enough to keep the little hell spawn from figuring out how to get out of his cage.

I miss that little devil.

I had a couple of dwarf hamsters and one always bit me but when it did I would flinch and it would still be held onto my thumb with its teeth so it would end up,being thrown across the room and hitting the wall and being KO'd. I always thought the little fucker was dead but a few minutes later it would wake up and stumble around, I'd put it back in its cage and hope that it may have learned its lesson. It never did.

I had one as a child. It bit me then the next day it was dead, and I buried it.

At least I think it was dead. About a year ago I learned about hamster torpor and had a sad.

Hamsters do have fairly large cheek pouches for storing food and nesting material, however I don't think they can open their mouths as wide as would be required to store that eyeball. Also, they use their paws to push the contents out of the pouches.
