Rules

  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

  5. Submissions must link directly to a specific image file or to an image hosting website with minimal ads. We do not allow blog hosting of images ("blogspam"), but links to albums on image hosting websites are okay. URL shorteners are prohibited.

  6. No animated images. Please submit them to /r/gif, /r/gifs, or /r/reactiongifs instead.

  • If your submission appears to be filtered but definitely meets the above rules, please send us a message with a link to the comments section of your post (not a direct link to the image). Don't delete it as that just makes the filter hate you!

  • If you come across any rule violations, please report the submission or message the mods and one of us will remove it!

Please also try to come up with original post titles. Submissions that use certain clichés/memes will be automatically tagged with a warning.

My Photographer just changed the name of his studio to "I shoot dogs...and cats, fish, hamsters, ferrets, pandas, polar bears and penguins, killer whales, and dolphins (the occasional mermaid) and on the weekends I travel to far away galaxies for some extra terrestrial photos. Upon returning home though, I shoot those who try to 1up me!"

As a photographer, the first one drives me crazy. I'll say to someone "So today, for my job, I shot a professor doing a study on the connection between alcohol use and suicide" and anyone I don't know very well will look horrified and be all "What? Oh my god!"

My pistol sat on my ancient oak desk. I've fired it twice before, wounding one and killing another. Every cop has their shootout stories. Only a few of us hardened veterans had actually killed a convict before, and here I was with five souls on my conscience and planning on adding a sixth.

It was like that Simpson case that got blown all over the news years back: only it was flipped all the wrong ways around. I would rather have a murderer on the street than an innocent man in jail. And I was about to send a woman away for life. Call me sexist if you like, but that just ain't right.

The family was brutally slaughtered over a weekend while the wife was away. She didn't have an alibi, and the forensics were inconclusive, but you can see in her eyes as she wept over the bodies that she was innocent. And she was going behind bars and would stay there long after I left this world, all on account of one offhand remark I made.

The jury said that's what tipped the scales against her case. Juror four had held out until the very end, but he had a family to feed himself and caved in so he could go home and see them. No skin off his nose, I guess.

I don't even want to repeat those damned words. I refuse to put them here next to my confession and tarnish my once-good name.

Tell my wife Jessi that I am sorry, but I can't live in this world with this guilt. May God have mercy on my soul.
