One of the coolest places I have eaten was in a cave in rural Missouri, in the Ozarks. A lot of crazy country roads, you park in a gravel lot and a crappy old shuttle van comes to pick you up so it can go up this one way crazy dirt hill road and drops you off at the place, and you take an elevator inside. It was essentially empty because not many people know about it and it's literally in the middle of no where. Killer food too. I can't wait to go back!

There's a restaurant in a cave in Southern Missouri where you have to park in a river valley, and then a shuttle comes to pick you up. The shuttle then drives you up narrow winding roads along bluffs to a rock arch, where you get out of the shuttle and then into an elevator which takes you two stories up. I've been there once and had the prime rib. It was pretty good. There are gorgeous views from the bar area, where there's a big bay that looks over the valley. On the plus side, there's a baby grand with a half decent pianist, but otherwise the furniture in it screams cheap italian cave restaurant. Here's their website where there isn't a single redeeming picture of it.
