True story: back in high school I knew this girl who I really liked because she would always talk to me. There was always this asshole kid, though, who bullied me and my friends and whenever she came and talked to us he would leave. After a couple of weeks I summed up the courage to make her a handmade card to express how I felt about her. I walked up to her where she was standing by her locker and handed her the card (which was an invitation to go to homecoming) and walked away like a SAP. The next day she handed me a letter saying "no" and that she already had a date. I later found out that her date was the asshole kid who'd been bullying my friends and I and also found out that he only left when she came a talked to us because she told him that she wouldn't do "favors" for him that same night.

NEVER...EVER...AGAIN.
