Maybe you folks at home have noticed this looks a little familiar. That's because it gets submitted about once a month.

With several hundred people joining this subreddit AN HOUR, these things need to be current. Especially that picture which is both informative and deeply disturbing.

I guess you're right. I just have a feeling there's a way to show all the new readers this stuff without me having to see it all the time, over and over again. For instance, maybe directing them to the top posts, or working out some sort of collective photo library for images like this? I'll admit I'm being selfish here, but I think this applies in a broader sense as well. This is a great image, but this and many like it start to make up more and more of the content on the subreddit as readership grows. This is great for the newbies for a while...until they've seen all these reposts a few times themselves. Is educating the new in this fashion worth alienating some of the veterans of r/atheism?

I'm sick of reposts but this stuff is so contemporarily relevant that it does need some kind of place to live. Isn't there a subreddit that is vaguely similar - r/atheistgems?

This is getting so big that the nature of the content demands a categorisation. At the end of the day though, you can simply click the next link and not get too bothered about it...

This picture isn't true. They have eyes but IRL they are blinded by the bible.

This picture completely freaked me out on a visceral level. Chills down my spine and hair on end. It's not the imagery so much as the concept.

That's a beautifully horrific image.

This has been reposted on /r/atheism at least a dozen times before fifthworlsproblems even existed.

Excuse me while I set out my hyper-pail for the negative ion storm.

It's quite disturbing but shows the true face of christianity if not religion in general.

so true - everyone is an atheist until their stupid parents get a hold of them

everyone is born a non-theist. they do not have an intellectual concept of a god and have not had the opportunity to evaluate any opinions on the subject.

why do I make this distinction? because it's common for Christians to go "everyone is born a christian, they just forget." I don't like to associate with that mindset.

this really isn't disturbing or horrific or scary to me. It's just sad.
