I was so hoping this was a real thing so that it would finally be socially acceptable to openly and loudly mock anyone wearing these things in public, destroying their image of themselves and making them think about the choices they have made, just before they vow never to buy crocs again. This would bankrupt crocs and the bankruptcy court would be so pissed off about that shoe that in a bizarre but warranted ruling, all crocs and croc-like footwear are to be melted down into a gigantic extended middle finger (I mean, think about it, that would be a pretty fucking huge middle finger) that rotates on the south pole so as to flick off the entire world every 6 hours with the caption: "Fuck everyone and anyone who ever thought wearing rubber slippers with holes in them in public was acceptable - especially fuck anyone who wears them without socks, but let's not forget to fuck anyone who wears them with socks either."

Eventually it would be so big it would be a base for a space elevator, launching the planet into a new age of discovery, but it turns out it's a fake. Bummer.

One day I took a photo of a sidewalk ramp with those pre fabricated tread rubber-plastic grip knobby tiles that they put at the edge of the curb (or in subway stations right at the edge of the platform). I showed him in a photo project.
