People who go on endlessly about the sanctity and integrity of marriage need to be punched in the goddam throat.

Marriage is, no matter how you want to look at it, a contract. And a contract only ever has as much integrity or sanctity as the people within it bring to the thing- it has no inherent value or whatever bullshit they have tried to dream up in their small, small heads to justify their bigotry. And I've got to tell you folks, I've seen just how much "sanctity" and "integrity" most people have these days, so I've got some doubts about this particular sort of contract between two individuals just being an endless sea of the stuff.

This shouldn't have quotes around it; this paragraph isn't a direct quote, it's edited and the punctuation is changed (replacing exclamation with period) which changes the tone of Eastwood's statement (with the continuity of Eastwood's thought preserved). The image-maker didn't change any of the intent behind Eastwood's words, but he did change the tone of the statement by editing the punctuation and he removed some of Eastwood's words so it's not a direct quote and therefore shouldn't have quotation marks.
