As an atheist I really don't like this argument. The snake represents the devil and I think christians will just use this to compare the devil to gays.

I don't find it funny. There're many things in the bible: tales, poetry, stories... and laws. The talking snake is part of a symbolic tale, and the hatred against gays come from "biblical legislations". That's what I hate about the Bible, it has clear and horrible legislations.
