While this map is good.. I prefer deck 16. Hands down my favorite ut 99 goty map. Instagib ftw!

In my high school gaming club, which only played Wolfenstein: ET for the longest time, some of the guys decided to introduce UT as a new game to play and set up a CTF on Facing Worlds. I was really excited because UT was my favorite game at the time so I grabbed the sniper rifle and camped in the enemy's tower on one of the ledges for some good times. We never played UT again.

Man I still do, Have a computer lab at my college that is never used, so about 5-12 guys in my class play it on our breaks between classes. Gets fucking intense so we change names almost every game so people dont get pissed and rage at the winners.

And best strat is to sneak on enemys base and fall down to the a side ledge and shoot them in the back.

We got a 3 hour break on monday, will be a good day.

My clan was a low gravity clan at the beginning. We loved playing this in low gravity man. Oh the fun times.

I was actually a UT99 instagib Cup and EuroCup moderator/admin on ClanBase. Anyone here from ClanBase back from 2003-2005? :) Good times dude.

For college, I once wrote a paper on graphics cards for a tech writing class. This map was one of the examples I used, and everyone in class was blown away by how awesome it looked. Damn, I wish I still had that report somewhere.

I actually had one of the first reviews of that game online (site is now dead). That map was absolutely one of the standouts at the time:

Some of the CTF maps have the best level design I’ve ever seen. On one such map, teams battle it out between two tall towers that are on a strip of land that hovers above earth’s atmosphere. The first time you play this map, you probably will lose just because you will spend so much time looking at the gorgeous sky. There is another truly great CTF map, but I’ll leave that as a surprise. [EDIT: I was probably talking about Lava Giant] There isn’t much of a story in Unreal Tournament, but the maps do have some amusing descriptions to go with them.

This was my first FPS experience. Used to play online with my dad when my mom wasn't home. The Kitchen was one of my favorite maps, if anyone remembers it!
