I never get too upset at getting time and a half. Might suck that day because I don't get to sleep in and be lazy but sure is nice in two weeks when I get the extra couple hundred dollars.

Extra money is good for treating yourself to something you want, to make yourself happier.

Working 6 days a week to get that extra money, however, will make your life horrible and you'll hate your job. So.

Constantly, yes.

Only do it once in a while, or for a little while.

It's not like the original post was "my boss asked me to work 6 days for the eight weeks in a row". It's one day.

Edit - if coming in for one day is so terrible, then chances are you already hate your job.

this is my opinion. you have to enjoy life. but sometimes work is more important than your precious weekend. sacrifice some time for work isn't that bad considering you'll get on the good side of the top management.
