Just a bit of musing on my part:

On all Macbook and Unibodies (both Pro and Regular) the the Mag-safe, Ethernet, USB, and headphone jacks are always on the left hand side of the computer, and are usually in that order. Now either this picture is taken from the back of the desk and the cables wrap around the back of the computer (if its not a old macbook pro) or from the front of the desk and the person is every cable.

Also the order of the out of wack. As I mentioned the cable Mag-safe, Ethernet, USB, and headphone jack. The picture shows Mag-safe, USB, Ethernet, and headphone jack. The order follows two types of laptops the Air and the old macbook pro. The Air doesn't have a built in ethernet port instead uses a USB connector, which isn't connected. Ether the person takes that and the USB hub with them (the Air only has 1 usb port), or its not an Air though the late model mag-safe adapter suggest that latter. Between the model of the magsafe order of the ports, position of the ports (assuming the picture wasn't flipped) and the grooved USB, its is most likely an older mac book pro.

TLDR: you can make a semi decent guess of the computer but looking at the ports.
