It looks like cheap bacon, $2.29 save a lot brand, or crappy sugardale. I get mine from the meat market good full smoked pork belly's hand sliced fresh. $4.69 a pound. My sis-in law will buy Oscar Meyer center cut for $6.89 at wal-mart. Still not as good as the meat market, but is a superior bacon. I buy 10 to 20 lbs a month with a 6 person household. I hate that high fat low meat ripply bacon like what is pictured With fresh pork belly I get a thicker than avg slice but not to thick like commercial thick sliced. gives me a nice even S curl to the bacon with a nice slightly chewy texture, not rubbery or to crunchy and dry.

Usually cooked in my cast iron pan, but recently bought a new cast iron griddle insert for my stove. Getting a nice even season texture built up. And I saved the grease on the advice of a friend and made popcorn with it, OMG. I am gonna die of serious clogged arteries but I cannot stop myself!!
