            That's a Mercedes ML that's been outfitted with a rig that's strong enough to hold an IMAX camera. That 15-second clip they shot was the most expensive skater video ever made, and it never saw the light of day :(

            Well, define "normal" ;-)

            The arm up top looks surprisingly normal (compare it with this one), but I guess they're made to withstand a shitload of stress anyway, because they may be used for chase scenes and stuff.

            But you will notice that the steadycam arm that connects the camera to the rig itself is way bigger than the normal ones, because the IMAX cameras, lenses and the film itself are much heavier than with 35mm or most digital products.

            I'm not sure if camera car driver is a job, or if they'd just get a good professional driver to do the driving. There will always be camera and rig operators in the back. In any case, those camera trucks aren't that rare these days, they're often used in chase scenes.

            IMAX camera trucks (and jobs as their drivers) are very rare though, because very few films are shot in IMAX in the first place (pretty much all of them are short nature docs), and in those films very few scenes, if any, would be shot from a truck rig. The only feature films to include parts shot on IMAX cameras are The Dark Knight (which was the first feature ever to use IMAX cameras), Transformers 3 and Mission: Impossible 4, with the fourth coming next summer: The Dark Knight Rises.

            On the you tube page you linked is an interview of him talking about working on the set etc. Here. At around 1:19 into the interview he mentions he "thinks" the movie will be great because he hadn't actually seen any footage due to set secrecy.

            He never saw his work in this movie, he never saw his greatest performance, this made me sad.

            In addtion, Heath was working on an animated music video for modest mouse at the time with the singer Issac Brock. Brock was quoted as to saying that Heath would drop by, still in makeup and clothes on a longboard, and hole up in a hotel with Brock to work on the video.

            The drawings were originally supposed to be storyboards, but Heath's death happened right in the middle of directing the video and they decided to release it as it was as a sort of tribute to Heath and his anti-whaling activism. As a bonus, the face in the sun in Terry Gilliam's.

              considering this was Heath's last movie before he tragically past away, the least those money making scum at Warner Bros could've done is include all his deleted scenes and behind stage work on the disc. this stuff is important to remember him by, cause although this sounds corny, he was one of the best actors of this decade, and most certainly the best thing the Dark Knight had going for it

              I'm unsure I'd call it excellent. It's worth seeing if you are a Gilliam fan. However, it follows a very similar theme/story as Baron Munchausen, except Doctor Parnassus misses the mark quite often.

              Yep, that's the reason why they got all those other guys to play his character, he hadn't finished shooting all of the scenes so they had to take a different direction and introduce the multiple personas/dream world angle.

                  It's funny, I did that once in Jedi Knight 2. There was a level where you had to jump down through some giant ventilation system. I quicksaved right as I jumped for some reason and the jump lead to instant death. So I tried quickloading and entering the infinite life cheat before he died. I had all of 2 seconds to do it.                                 I was visiting a friend who lives in Chicago a few weeks ago and he said that it was not uncommon to see Heath bugging around town dressed as the Joker. He loved skating, and did it during his downtime during the set. Also revealed to me was that Chicago PD took the police barricades used in the film, so when they close off streets for a festival you'll see a "Gotham City Police" barricade among all the Chicago PD ones.
