Not really. Sure, let's assume that there is a religious person and an atheist, and the atheist knows all the reasonable arguments against religion and uses them against the religious. It still might not work. Mainly because if the religious person is getting something out of being religious, it is not unreasonable to continue that belief even if it lacks evidence of existence.

If you're playing life to make you feel the best, sometimes the most rational choice there is to chose to embrace the irrational.

This ignores that aspect, and /r/atheism ignores that aspect a fair bit as well. People have goals, if being religious furthers your goal, then it is reasonable for you to be religious. /r/atheism likes to assume that increasing knowledge and fighting ignorance and inherent goals and ideals which everyone should live up to, but they aren't.
