Worst I ever did was when my parents banged on the door. They had their whole NOW MEANS NOW thing. I spin out of the chair, go to get up, headphone cord is now a trip wire, flail over it, rip the headphones out of the computer, then knock over a glass of juice shattering it and massively staining the carpet.

WHEN I SAY JUST A MINUTE, I MEAN JUST A MINUTE. SNAPPING NOW MEANS NOW HELPS NOTHING.

Attach a locking retractable stereo cable to the arm of the chair, or attach a short extension to the headphones to form a break point. Or buy yourself some wireless headphones.

Edit: Thanks for the downvote, but I'm dead fucking serious. There are lots of cables at work and lots of cables at home. I roll around with my chair in both places. That's the reason why I don't put any cables in front of my desk. It's a very simple problem with a very simple solution.

here's a shitty drawing describing what I do to avoid this. Also, make sure the coins are rolled because sometimes that cup gets knocked over and it's a lot easier to pick up rolled coins.
