But... But... Mr. Threepwood, don't you normally blame everything on LeChuck?

That is a fantastically badass picture. So now we know that after the Dinosaurs defeated and ate the aliens, they took over the invaders' technology and left the Earth in search of more tender E.T. flesh.

Fight on, brothers.

They had to destroy the dinosaurs for humanity, the dinosaurs fought hard, and the aliens had to alter the path of a comet to wipe out the dinos in the end. That way we had a chance to survive, but now the aliens are coming back to 'reset' our civilisation to let nature start again.

More here - intro is Morgan Freeman and the main character is Matt Damon.

I have never heard of this, nor seen anything about it whatsoever, but I swear, I had a very vivid dream, about six or seven months ago. It was like watching a trailer, one where Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon were the lone survivors living in the ruins of civilization, hunted by alien ships. Hearing those names and aliens in the same sentence sent chills down my spine.

You can't go wrong with Dinosaurs and Aliens.

But hey, that's what I thought about giant fighting robots.

I can just imagine some sort of intergalactic log about earth, ala the HHGTG entry "mostly harmless" except it will say "warning: huge reptilian carnivores"

Not even the humblest of god's creatures, the Tyrannosaurs, could stop the aliens this time.

Well I don´t see any aliens around. I mean the dinosaurs didn´t even leave any bones or crashed ships! Propably killed the aliens then took their ships and went to their homplanet to make sure they never mess with good old Earth again!

[–]ActivateFullDerp 0 points1 point ago

dinosaurs didn´t even leave any bones

But they did leave bones. Casualties in the glorious battle that ensued, perhaps.

So... what you're saying is the Reapers invaded Earth and somehow overpowered the dinosaurs.

[–]ellevehc 1 point2 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

I would pay to see a movie where Dinosaurs are incredibly badass and give aliens a run for their money.

Say the plot is like this: Aliens arrive on earth to extract resources, but dinosaurs are more abundant and intelligent than we imagined and begin to organize against the invaders.

The invaders are over powered and cannot extract the resources efficiently. So they leave the planet and redirect a comet (similar to halleys comet) to hit the planet to wipe out the dinosaurs.

Then at the end they plan, "We will return in 2012, when the fossilization is complete and we have more resources to extract."

[–]PPpwnz -1 points0 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Tyrannosaurs were actually rather intelligent animals, on par with house cats.

[–]geniusgrunt 0 points1 point ago*

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Are you being sarcastic? How have they determined this? You can't say definitively that an animal which lived 65 million years ago had on par intelligence with cats, but you can make an informed guess, any links? Somehow I doubt a giant reptile had on par intelligence with a predatory mammal, in this case a cat.

Edit: I just ran a google search and found this -

http://dinosaurs.about.com/od/typesofdinosaurs/tp/smartestdinos.htm

"You wouldn't think Tyrannosaurus Rex had to be particularly smart to hunt down its food--after all, this was the apex predator of its day, equipped with huge teeth, powerful legs, and a keen sense of smell. But judging by an analysis of existing skulls, T. Rex seems to have had a fairly large brain by Cretaceous standards (although today it would be outwitted by a newborn kitten)."
