That's what the winking emoticon was for. But somehow -- facepalm -- many religious think atheists are anti-God theists.
The notion of not believing in God doesn't compute for them, so they try to fit atheists into "believes in God and pretends not to because they don't like God."

It's true. I'm quite consoled that my magical sky daddy won't take care of all my needs and every action I take will have very real consequences. Also, the whole rotting in the ground after death thing makes my heart skip in glee!
