Wouldn't it be an artillery round? But anyway, I don't see a problem with the physics of the firing angle, but it does look like they are going to miss. Could be a ranging shot.

I'm just trying to defend the artist when I say this: I think the dinosaurs are supposed to be quite a bit farther back, in which case the trajectory seems relatively plausible. Poorly portrayed in that sense, though.
