You got those backwards. The right one turns anticlockwise and the left one turns clockwise.

I managed to do it by staring at the right one for a while, getting it the right way then looking at the middle one. The right turns anticlockwise and the left and middle turned clockwise.

The one on the left is forced reversal... as in the colored lines are forcing the rotation to seem to be reversed. Just check the foot reflections.

White lines around the head and body is creating the illusion of non-synchronous movement.

Colored lines inside the legs reinforcing the synchronous movement of the legs. Also the colors for right and left are reversed.

When you look at the whole, it feels as if heads are turning at a different pace than legs.

Actually, I was able to do as you asked. Left was turning counter-clockwise, middle was counter-clockwise, and right was clockwise. Then things flipped and I saw clockwise, clockwise, and counter-clockwise.

Yes, the middle gif and the left gif are going the same direction, clockwise. The right gif is going counter-clockwise.

It's possible to change the direction of the middle one mentally when you quickly change focus to either the left or the right dancer when the middle one is facing perpendicular(at any time to your view), then snap back to the center one. After that, the middle dancer should be going whatever direction of the side you looked at quickly.

I got it after several minutes of intense concentration. It is easier if you look at the right hand figure, causing it to spin clockwise. Then look at the left hand figure, causing it to spin counterclockwise. For some reason this most often resulted in all of them spinning one direction. However, by repeatedly doing this and then quickly staring at the middle figure I was eventually able to achieve this task, so aptly deemed "Impossibru". Needless to say it was kind of tiring to look at the figures spinning in opposite directions.
