True story, unfortunately. At summer camp one year there was a leak in a pipe leading into the bathrooms, which were a separate building from the mess hall so the hallway leading to them was open-air. Anyway, directly above the boys' restroom was a wet ceiling patch which was, no joke, covered in HUNDREDS of writhing daddy long-legs for the two weeks I was there. Every time you opened the door to go to the bathroom, the living, pulsing mass of arachnids would shudder and one or two would drop off onto the floor.

And that, my friends, is why I'm afraid of spiders.

And yes, I know they're not technically the same thing. Tell that to the primal part of my brain that screams every time I see more than one of either in the same place.
