I dunno man, I know some pretty gay engineers.

Gaygineers? Enginqueers?

Either way, they exist.

I remember reading somewhere in college that engineering has the highest percentage of homosexuals of any profession. Even higher than stereotypical professions such as hairdressing, interior design, etc. Anyone know if that's true or still true?

I guess it would make sense that men who prefer the company of other men would sign up for engineering . . .

I doubt that, I study engineering and I never noticed that there were more homosexuals then you'd expect.

Though I can testify that people who out themselves are treated a lot better than in average fields, so maybe gays feel more "at ease" to come forward as they don't fear judgement from other engineers that much?

I don't know, I'm just guessing here...

I believe you mean 'Ted Mosby... Sex Architect!'

EDIT: I may be wrong. It could be Ted Mosby in... "Lance Hardwood, Sex Architect!"

I don't see much accuracy in that. I do in fact have plenty of attraction to members of my same sex, and I am quite good at Engineering.

Now you need to explain the engineering behind this.

[–]Cheeseyx 6 points7 points ago

Don't need to. I'm not a bioengineer. Not my field.

[–]JonnehxD -1 points0 points ago

Maybe you can suggest the sturdiest positions then? ;]

[–]Cheeseyx 2 points3 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Are you seriously implying that an engineer would be well versed in sex positions?

[–]Pariel 1 point2 points ago

For some reason the pickup line "I'll examine your structures anytime" hadn't occurred to me before.

I'll try it on the girlfriend and see what she thinks.

I've always thought of architects as the people who would have been engineer nut for the sad fact that they possess creativity and the ability to talk to pretty women.....

edit: I just realized that I'm probably going to be downvoted to shit because this is reddit and I was honest about engineers....oh wells!

unfortunately this fits my life too well... but it was more me not giving enough fucks to become an engineer.

I was attracted more to the idea of walking into a place that has existed in my mind for the longest time. I'm not an architect yet, but this is what carries most of my motivation. I always loved when I could actually get an idea down on paper. I can only imagine the incredible feeling of walking into a place that existed only in your mind before it came to be.

I was like that as a kid. Been fortunate enough to live abroad for 5 years before going back to college to get architecture degree.

Does this include software architects, or are we not counting software people? (That is, is there a different graph for people who design costumes for video game characters, software architects and software engineers?)
