    They really don't. It's not hard to dislodge something. Then not only do you have a funny looking shape, you could very well have a healthy chunk of skin torn off quite easily.

    When I was 15(looong time ago lol), I had my nipple ring torn out during rugby. I was pretty careful to remember to take it out, the ONE time I didn't.... ow.

    I used to have sub dermal implants in my forearm and they jostle around quite a bit. It's a neat feeling but can quickly turn to pain.

      First, yea it's kind of crazy to believe a 14 year old would be allowed to get a sub-dermal implant considering most reputable places would try to avoid that kind of thing (I say reputable because it's last this long and hasn't rejected so there's a likelihood it wasn't done in some dirty hole-in-the-wall).. and second, the comment may be 2 months old but the thread was recently linked to from a relatively popular post so it's not exactly stale... ps, why does it matter when someone comments on something?

      I was only enlightening you to the thread's age. How old a thread is definitely changes what I will say in it.

      You're saying that it's crazy to believe that any 14 year old anywhere would get this done? I would say it's not just believable, but highly likely. Frankly people do dumb shit to their body no matter how old they are, so I'm not against a 14 year old making the choice to do this any more than someone older, but that's just my own opinion.

      I was well aware of the age of the thread and chose to comment anyway, considering the recent increase in comments based on a recent post. Also, I'm not saying a 14 yr old wouldn't think "this would be cool", I'm debating the possibility of a shop agreeing to do it considering the rejection rate for piercings and implants is a lot higher in younger people, and the fact that a shop's reputation is a major part of how much money they take in, and a major rejection like a chest piece could look bad.

      Anyhoo, I'm sure the details are out there, but I don't think it's really worth researching how old some random person in a photo is, so I'll let the whole thing go.
