I grew up in a nonreligious household. One year I heard a Christmas song that mentioned Jesus and started laughing hysterically. Apparently, I thought it was really funny that someone would name their kid Jesus because I'd only ever heard the name used as a swear word ("Jesus Fucking Christ!"). :)

Actually Maeby Funke is probably the smartest person in the family. She talks her way out of just about every situation that arises from her not following rules, and not only gets away scott free, but somehow turns it to her advantage.
I think this has more to do with the family being completely unaware of anything that doesn't involve money and Maeby, who simply wants to exploit something she doesn't know or care about to her advantage.
