I think an important takeaway here is that while the original letter to the editor was a hoax, and shouldn't be posted here, there were many follow up responses that express the same feeling. Those of us who live in this nation as atheists know that many around us feel this way. There are those out there who would love to see us expatriate or see harm done to us for no better reason than our lack of belief.
