I remember playing a demo for it when I was about 9, and found it hilarious that I could could beat stuff to death with my arm. I shat bricks a few months later when one of my friends got it for his birthday, and we played it for hours. I really wish I could have owned this game.

Wow, I've been trying to remember the name of this for a while now...I never actually owned the game (though I really wanted to), but I did have one of those PS disks with several game demos on it, and this was one of them. I played the demo of this over and over.

Adored this game as a kid. I remember me and my dad would try and work out where all the chalices were in each level (i was about 10 at the time). The asylum grounds with the hedge maze and the riddles had us tricked for a while. The village level used to, and still does creep me out, with the possessed family, and the wife that chases you down with a skillet going LAH LA LAL LA LAHHH.

Yessir! i remember popping this in and playing it, then getting so scared, I wouldn't play it for a long time and would play Crash Team Racing instead. Then after a week, i would pop it in again and start playing from where I left off.

Took me 4 years to beat this game. I was a young lad of about 8 enjoying the game and all its rat squishing wonder. I came upon the scarecrow level and thought to myself I wonder if I can cut through the corn field. My dad probably knowing the horrible truth looked at me and said "go for it" NO YOU CAN NOT. A weird rabid weasel monkey thing killed me. I was to terrified to continue the game.

loved this serie, both 1 and 2. nothing better than some tim burton's humor and scary enemies. plot and gameplay were kickass too. always hoped for a next generation remake (not the crappy psp one). i feel lucky and proud for having such games in my gaming experience

this was my most favorite game as a kid. I can't tell you how many hours I spend playing it. To date it has been the only game I've actually completed 100%, I've got all the chalices, life bottles, weapons, everything. Its still one of my most favorite games ever next to armored core. Truly amazing. I feel so thankful that my copy still works. and I also like that I share my name with Sir Daniel Fortesque, that always made it feel like it was me in the game.
