This movie truly resonated with me the first time I saw it as about a 12 year old, white male in the United States. Derrick Vineyard was that older brother I wished I had in that movie. His speech, fiery passion, yet ultimate helplessness as a patriotic all-American male really got to me. Fucking grade A stuff.

Apparently at the end of the film after his brother gets shot, there was going to be a scene where the scene goes black and you hear the clippers turn on.....
