It should be, because "Kuchen" means "cake" and "Kekse" means "Cookies". But "Pfefferkuchen" is a well-established noun for this kind of cookies and it has been used for ages. You are right in your opinion that it should be "kekse" as long as you see it as some cookie but it is a special kind of cookies called "Pfefferkuchen"

The swastika is actually an ancient symbol, used by at least a couple of cultures -- Navaho and, um, Hindu? You can even find old pre-WWII buildings in the US that have swastika tile patterns.

Woah who said anything about experimenting on humans? The nazis experimented on Jews.

Only kidding, however, the Nazis did advance medicine quite a bit by doing everything they never could on a human. So I guess that's something. In fact their advancements were so ahead of their time the US and Russia pardoned most of their leading doctors/scientists/engineers/inventors with the arrangement that they would continue their work (with a few stricter rules) in the US and Russia.

That's because every symbol Hitler used was stolen from other cultures. Swastika = Christian/religions, aquila (poles/standards in front of army) = romans, mustache = Charlie Chaplain

Only half of those are nazi swastikas, the ones with the side facing you going left. The ones where the bottom goes right, are sanskrit symbols meaning essentially good luck. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika , for further reading.
