Clearly a metaphor for the Blue Party of Wexelrod's pursuit of an identity following the civil war against the united party. After a pyrrhic victory, the Blue Party (BP) only stood as a mere skeleton of what it once was. Lacking structural integrity, the BP actually moved throughout the (metaphorically) dark country trying to rebuild. They sent some delegates to their neighbors to the north (Yiltchin) who were experimenting with a parliament styled government. Having too many representatives, the northern state of Yiltchin fell apart only furthering the confusion of the BP. As time progressed, the people of Wexelrod demanded a government of action. With this vacuum of power, the United Power reorganized and nearly lured the BP into a trap (too complicated for now) where they destroyed the BP.
