"And, lo, suddenly there came forth from the cave many dragons; and when the children saw them, they cried out in great terror. Then Jesus went down from the bosom of His mother, and stood on His feet before the dragons; and they adored Jesus, and thereafter retired."

I refuse to think my brothers would do such a thing. But I have noticed that they aren't as active anymore, nah this couldn't be true... it can't be true... it mustn't be true... fuck it, its true.

I was once taught in class at my high school that dragons existed before the flood.

I, for one, believe dragons existed at some point, but their physical make up did not allow for any fossilized record of them. I know its unlikely, but its a lot more plausible than some things.

I always liked the hypothesis that dragons are just the result of a conglomeration of our primal fears derived form old natural predators.

that and dragons vary wildly between cultures, to the point that the only similarities is the name.

Different genotypes/phenotypes survived better in different climates, ergo they were different in different areas. Australia still has them >.>

there's a serious difference between genotype and one being a bat-winged lizzard and another being a magic bird that breathes life.

I'm saying absolutely nothing about them being magical, or fire/life-breathing.

but the descriptions in mythology have them that varied. that's the point I'm trying to make.

And the point I'm making is the reason for that is that the "dragons" actually did vary for survive-ability in different places in the world. And then they were glorified by myth making them into something far more extravagant than they actually were.

all right then fair enough. can you show me any proof other than mythology and anecdotal evidence?

pterodactyls, large winged reptilian flying ....animals, Showing that these types of animals are possible. Flying squirrels and gliding snakes, showing that perhaps these supposed winged animals my have only given the illusion of flying. As for actual proof no. If they did exist (as I am keen to believe) they were sparse, possibly due to being too large, or extremely territorial, or a mixture of both. This evolutionary flaw then led to their extinction.

And Jesus said unto the disciples "I used to be an adventurer, but I took an arrow to the knee."

I personally like the story where Jesus fights off all of the Mediterranean Pirates with a Lightsaber.

Yes, they are, but the face expressions match so well with the text that it's a pleasure every time.
