Beware of trading scammers!

A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports). "Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

"Generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission.

But it might not? I know where you are coming from, but I'd like to think that most of these front page specials aren't going to be THAT much cheaper, or the same for the Xmas sale. I want to hold off and get Morrowind at less than 5 bucks. Same with a lot of older titles. We'll see. I hope to see some wild Xmas sales.

It's pretty awesome. As Grant said it likley won't get any cheaper than 5 dollars. Edit: Its not five dollars, I forgot it was no longer on sale. Maybe check out some let's plays on youtube?

It will mostly likely be cheaper when the DLC combo-pack is released. (And it will for-sure be cheaper when that edition goes on sale.)

Right now Fallout: New Vegas is $9.99. All of the DLC is currently 50% off as well. There are four story-related DLC packs for $4.99 each. So all-together it would be $29.95 for New Vegas with DLC (not including item-related DLC packs).

Over the last Halloween sale I picked up Borderlands: GOTY with all four DLC for just over $7. As a reference, it was just under a year between releases of Borderlands and Borderlands: GOTY. We're actually overdue for a Fallout:NV DLC combo-pack.

I would like to purchase it, but this reason is making me sympathize with the Zeela_D.

well, if you're a fan of more sci fi RPGs, then fallouts are definitely worth the time. The newest one was on sale yesterday for $5, which I definitely spent on it having played fallout 3 and loving it when it was new. It's a bit more simple than the elder scrolls games, but has an entirely different atmosphere with a lot of the same general ideas

I've got such a backlog of games, it will be Christmas before I played it anyway. There IS a game that would make me upend my whole queue, but Skyrim isn't on sale, so that's not happening.

Yup. This is my first steam sale. I've bought about 10 games so far.

Rule of thumb: Unless you're going to play it right away, wait for a better deal. If the game is only 25-50% of now, there's a chance it may be 75% or more in the future.

Good rule. 75% is the highest I've ever seen any single game. I'm waiting on BC2 to hit 5 as I seen it at 5 a couple of months ago.

I do, but Skyrim is saving me a lot more money since I know anything on sale will be absolute garbage in comparison.
