Rules

  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

  5. Submissions must link directly to a specific image file or to an image hosting website with minimal ads. We do not allow blog hosting of images ("blogspam"), but links to albums on image hosting websites are okay. URL shorteners are prohibited.

  • If your submission appears to be filtered but definitely meets the above rules, please send us a message with a link to the comments section of your post (not a direct link to the image). Don't delete it as that just makes the filter hate you!

  • If you come across any rule violations, please report the submission or message the mods and one of us will remove it!

Please also try to come up with original post titles. Submissions that use certain clichés/memes will be automatically tagged with a warning.

Of course a left-brainer would say that.

I assume you think the image, not the words, are bias and if so why are you offended? You have and utilize both sides of your brain. We all do. Are you just annoyed that your personality more closely resembles the left brain characteristics? And that the left brain is portrayed quite drab by juxtaposition? Both sides are portrayed with stereotypical concepts. The left side has code and the right paint. So with that being said I don't really think there is a bias.

I'm very left brain oriented and the picture doesn't bother me one bit. Those right brained artsy people can have all their colors and flowing designs. I'll keep my numbers and straight lines.

They could have put cool fractals and shit on the left side with a decent color scheme. But it doesn't matter cause this is from a car ad series and should be treated just as serious as other car ads.

OP, you say the bias is obvious, but I don't quite understand what you mean. It is well-known that the left hemisphere is primarily analytical/logical, whereas the right hemisphere is primarily creative (though apparently for some left-handed folks this is reversed).

This image describes both sides in a positive light. What is the bias you are referring to?

This was part of a series of Mercedes-Benz ads. Here are 2 more: 1 2

Many people seem to be wondering where the bias is here. I see what the Op is saying. While they are showing that right brainers are creative and left are more logical the point is colors and movements make it look prettier and better. To eliminate this the left brain would need to appear with lines and numbers but also have something that makes it appear interesting. Like architectural drawings or engineering designs to at least make it appear as if something is happening on that side of the brain. The words are not biased in any way however.

I'm left handed so I'm better.

Reading between the lines I am to assume that we should just have the left side of our brain scooped out of our skulls. It appears to be fucking useless. If not useless, it's boring.
