I don't get the love for adventure time. The times I've given it a chance, it comes off as a cartoon for adults, masquerading as a kids show. The writing seems lazy, the regular and reoccurring characters seem to be right out of some hipsters notebook of either stereotypical kids pleasures (Princess Bubblegum) or something that would be an inside joke (Marceline and her bass), and the story writing is flat.

I'll probably get downvotes for this, but I just can't understand how people actually buy that this is a show created for children. In my mind, a great kids cartoon that spanned all age ranges, on CN in the past 5 years that I'm using as comparison, is Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends.
