Pictures really don't do it justice - the saturation and vibrance of the colors in real life (and the sheer number of flowers) are absolutely breathtaking. You'll notice some of the flowers look kind of fake in the photos. They looked that way in real life as well - it's not some effect or whatever.

i grew up in the middle of this kind of surrounding, a small town near the coast of Holland. Its beautiful like this for a few weeks in the year. the rest of the year is nothing but dirt as far and the eye can see and sometimes it even reeks of manure from time to time.

Dutchman here, just saying that this isn't a common thing in Holland, as far as I know there are only a few places that have stuff like this. If you want to see it, you can go to a place called the Keukenhof (among others, probably).
