I was always taught that the reason being rich would be a sin is because you're expected to use any extra money you have, money left over after buying what you need to survive, to help the needy.

So if you're rich and you're just letting all your money sit in a bank account then that's considered greed because that money should be used to help other people.

As a jesus follower, I can tell you Jesus was really cool, Christians and the church is why people dont give Christianity a chance. Christians are insane most of the time. Also, Jesus hated coffee, so this comic is impossible.

Allow the Almighty to offer a correction on thy falsehoods.

The material world is not inherently evil, it is for thy own use. That being said, to misplace the center of your conscience around material possessions is evil. The center of an individual's priorities should be that of Myself, which is to say, Truth and Justice.

Even an atheist's salvation is assured if he abides this way, as he does me glory, whether or not he realizes it.
