when i was younger, my friend and i would put on our sunday best, grab a bunch of take out menus for this nice little pizzeria in town. we'd go door to door asking people if they had accepted Roma's as their source for pizzas, calzones, stromboli and pasta dishes. it was weird how our treatment was somewhat similar to all the other proselyting dbags out there.

Good Lord (ha!) how dense can people be? The point is not that atheists are as annoying as evangelical Christians — the point is about the absurd misconception (or intentional lie) amongst Christians that atheists believe in nothing.

The pamphlet wouldn't be blank because atheism is not an absence of any belief. Atheists by definition believe there are no Gods. The pamphlet would contain something like (if they're /r/atheists, anyway) GOD IS FALSE AND YOU ARE AN IDIOT IF YOU DON'T AGREE.

If they actually went door-to-door like this, sure. But I've never heard of any atheist group that does this.
If anything, the fact that this comment is so frequently re-posted (and upvoted) is evidence that at least some atheists can take a joke at their own expense.
